The project aims to build a holistic retrofitting solution for commercial buildings to reduce primary energy consumption and increase the share of Renewable Energy Sources by developing:

1. Novel thermal insulation solutions

2. Easy to install and cascadable daylighting technologies based on the NLIS system

3. HVAC Retrofitting systemic approach

4. Integrated solution way based on the Intelligent Automation Unit concept and Mobile Robot

It has three demonstration sites for the replicability assessment, which are:

1. Ikva Shopping Centre in Hungary

2. Ada Shopping Centre in Turkey

3. Getsewoud in The Netherlands

VPS’s role in the project is mainly focused on fixed distributed sensor network design and pilot Implementation, testing and evaluation of an Intelligent Metering System to be installed in building with the capability to measure their electricity consumption and environmental parameters.
