DREAM-GO – Enabling Demand Response for short and real-time Efficient And Market based smart Grid Operation - An intelligent and real-time simulation approach.

Taking advantage of the US experience in demand response, teaming up academic partners with pioneer work in smart grid management and intelligent systems and non-academic partners (SMEs) with the required know how and infrastructure to jointly produce relevant advancements in the state of the art of demand response technologies.

The main goal is to create a framework with the required methods and solutions to facilitate the adoption of the results in final applications, by providing grounded scientific knowledge to possible pathways for future implementation of a more effective smart grid system in the EU.

DREAM-GO focus on automated load control implementation to significantly advance in the present state of the art by developing:

• business models for short and real-time DR in smart grids

• models and methods to simulate and assess the use of short and real-time DR in smart grids

• specifications for the communications, devices, and methods to enable DLC of consumers’ loads
