VPS first project for PT2020: AVIGAE

Virtual Power Solutions first PT2020 project was approved in October 2015. VPS will develop AVIGAE, an Intelligent Virtual Assistant for Managing Active Energy in Buildings, which will act as the interface between the end-user and the energy management system.

The purpose is to simulate different scenarios and trigger a set of control actions. It will be based on the results obtained, with the objective to optimise energy management while increasing the energy efficiency levels. It will also incorporate learning strategies (adaptive or by reinforcement) to adapt decisions to a certain situation.

This project aims to fill the gaps identified in the market, developing an energy consumption dynamic management system based on advanced simulation techniques and aided by a decision support advanced system that allows adequate control of buildings resources and, consequently, energy optimisation.
